Dengjun Zhang is a Professor of Accounting at the University of Stavanger Business School, Norway. He holds a PhD. from Auburn University, USA. Prior to joining academia, he has worked as an auditor, financial analyst, and investment manager for more than ten years in Shanghai, China. Dr. Zhang has written on various subjects, including commodity demand, price and volatility, trade policy, firm performance, credit risk, and audit assurance. Since 2013, he has published 50+ peer-reviewed articles, with case studies of fisheries, hospitality, energy, and manufacturing. His research is recently focused on the business environment in developing countries, especially about how access to financing affects manufacturing firms' investment decisions, innovation, environmental and financial performance, and energy intensity.
