About me
Dr. Catak was born in Ankara, Turkey. He received his Ph.D. degree in Informatics from Istanbul University in 2014. He has held research and academic positions at several institutions, including the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Simula Research Laboratory, and TÜBİTAK BİLGEM.
Since 2021, he has been an Associate Professor of Cyber Security at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (IDE), University of Stavanger (UiS), Norway. He is the author of the book Trustworthy AI and leads research on the development of reliable and transparent AI systems with a focus on their application in 6G and next-generation communication systems. His current research interests include trustworthy AI, LLMs, machine learning, cyber security, and privacy-preserving technologies.
Dr. Catak has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals and conference proceedings and actively contributes to collaborative international research projects.
