The Affective Neuroscience group studies emotions, aiming to use innovative machine-learning and artificial intelligence approaches to develop new scientific understanding of human emotions with the aim of developing feasible and robust methods for assessing and classifying emotion and applying these methods to related fields such as clinical neuropsychology, social skills and related topics.
Kolbjørn Kallesten Brønnick will initially lead the group. Aleksandra Sevic will be coordinator and Tore Tjora and Jone Bjørnestad will participate.
The group is presently working on a scoping review on the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques for classifying human emotion and will be applying for funding for empirical projects in 2024.
