Norwegian Centre for Learning Environment and Behavioural Research in Education and University of Stavanger host the digital conference with more than 190 researchers from 34 countries. Topic of the day will be «Bullying: What we know and what we can do.»
The European Association on Developmental Psychology (EADP) usually arrange an international conference every other year. However, due to the covid 19 situation, the conference this year is digital, named EADP Summer Tour 2021.
EADP Summer Tour 2021 is a gathering of virtual events hosted by Austria, Poland and Norway, arranged during the course of the first three Fridays of September. Norwegian Centre for Learning Environment and Behavioural Research in Education, at the University of Stavanger, (Norway) will be hosting the third day of the conference tour, the 17th of September.
The program of the day is dedicated to the relevant topic of bullying, from early childhood to adulthood: «Bullying: What we know and what we can do.»
From all around the world
191 researchers coming from 34 countries spread over 5 continents (Europe, Africa, America, Asia and Oceania) will attend the three conference days.
– These numbers confirm the relevance acquired during the years of the EADP meeting, as one of the main events for the exchange of new knowledge developed by the international researchers in the areas of developmental and educational psychology, says Simona Carla Silvia Caravita, Professor at the Centre for Learning Environment, who is in charge of the Norwegian day of the EADP Summer Tour 2021.
Besides being important for the scientific arena, the EADP Summer Tour will provide important insights to develop interventions and actions. In order to improve the health and well-being of children, adolescents and young adults, promote their positive development, and, on the third day, prevent and contrast bullying, one of the most relevant societal challenges emerging during the last decades.
– We can be proud
– I think EADP can be proud to see that we address these challenges with high-quality research, originating from various parts of Europe. This illustrates our «raison d’être» as a European association: Together we join our scientific forces, Marcel van Aken, President of EADP, says in an official statement.
The first two conference days are arranged by the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria (September 3rd) and the Polish Association of Human Development Psychology (September 10th). Topics are «Societal Challenges» and «Developmental trends: concerns and opportunities».
