After completing the course, the students should develop:
Knowledge about
- Central concepts related to crises and emergency preparedness.
- How a crisis management system should be organized and function.
- Principles for emergency preparedness planning and management of crises.
- The connection between emergency preparedness planning and the ability to deal with crises.
Skills in
- Assessment of challenges related to emergency preparedness planning and crisis management.
- Assessment of responsibility, situation awareness and decision-making during management of crises.
- Assessment of development of and design of emergency preparedness plans.
- Application of concepts and principles in cases related to emergency preparedness planning and crisis management.
General competence about
- Quality of emergency preparedness and crisis management.
- Critical reflection about how emergency preparedness and crisis management contribute to societal safety.
