Piano & Friends invites you on a journey through music history.
When this group takes the stage at the library, audiences will experience classical piano in a range of forms and combinations – including opera singing, solo violin, and harmonica.
The ensemble offers a music-historical journey through stylistic contrasts – from the operas of the Classical period, through the chamber music of the Romantic era, to the experimental and expanded expressions of the 20th century.
It will be a historical journey with a focus on the pianist’s role, both past and present.
The audience can look forward to comedic scenes from Mozart’s operas, beautiful duets for violin and piano – and perhaps the musicians even have some Spanish-inspired melodies up their sleeves.

Bøker & Beats offers a glimpse into life at UiS campus Bjergsted, showcasing jazz, classical music, contemporary dance, and other performing arts. In addition to performing, the students will share insights into their fields of study.
