About me
I am a former teacher and currently work as a research fellow in educational science. Thus, I find myself at the intersection of theory and practice, which is a very interesting place to be! I am passionate about reflexive processes and believe that everyone benefits from trying to view themselves and their field from an outside perspective. As a humanist, I am concerned with the relationship between different art forms such as visual arts, film, literature, and music. I also enjoy philosophical discussions and theories of society.
My research
I am working on a doctoral dissertation about partnerships between universities and lower secondary school. My project is part of the larger research initiative Partners in Practice, where researchers collaborate with teachers on the development of practices in various school subjects. I am particularly interested in the communication between researchers and teachers and how the collaboration evolves over time. Literary conversations in the Norwegian subject are central to my research. I am concerned with the conditions for literature teaching in the digitalized everyday life and the connections between literature, film, and other multimodal texts.
Academic background
I hold a master’s degree in educational science with a specialization in Norwegian didactics. Additionally, I have a dual bachelor’s degree in film studies and Nordic language and literature in additon to studies of philosophy and social sciences. I am certified as teacher through practical pedagogical education with didactic subjects in Norwegian and media and communication. My academic background also includes work as educator in lower and upper secondary school. I am a member of the research schools DIGIT and PROFRES.
