Hvordan kan KI brukes til kreativ skriving i barneskolen?

Welcome to the closing conference for the AILIT project, which combines the use of artificial intelligence with creative writing and engaging reading and writing education!

In AILIT, we have explored how AI can be used to scaffold students' creative writing in primary schools.

We now invite researchers, students, school leaders, teachers, and anyone else interested to the project's closing conference.

Here, you will learn more about AILIT and the knowledge we have gained. This is relevant for those interested in creative writing and the use of digital technology in primary schools.

What is AILIT?

AILIT is an international project, funded by Erasmus+, and is a collaboration between researchers and teachers in Norway, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, and Ireland. Students in the partner countries have actively participated by writing texts. Researchers and teachers in the five countries have collaborated to build a digital platform where students can write texts supported by AI, have them translated, and read by students in other countries.

In AILIT, we have tested:

  • Recommendation systems that allocate texts to students based on their interests
  • Machine translation that makes texts available across languages
  • AI assistance to help get started with writing and provide feedback along the way

Welcome to the closing conference!

The closing conference is open to everyone, but you can choose whether to attend the whole day or parts of it.

You will gain knowledge about the results and experiences from the project in part 1, while in part 2 we will discuss various issues related to AI and writing, as well as creative writing and writing pedagogy.

You will hear presentations from AILIT researchers, including Bjørn Arild Ersland, Eithne Kennedy, Per Henning Uppstad, Bente R. Walgermo, Erik Roelofs, Madalena Teixeira, Melinda Dooly Owenby, and Maria Mont.

Registrate here to join the conference. Registration deadline 29th April.
