About 97 % of the earth’s water is contained in oceans and seas all connected forming an enormous mass of water. Complex marine, offshore and subsea engineering becomes crucial when obtaining and discovering all the resources that the oceans can bring, as well as solving the different issues that can occur during this process. The focused research areas are Aquaculture Technology, Offshore and Subsea Technology, Offshore Wind and Fjord Crossings. This will stimulate further research within the strategic area Ocean at the Faculty of Science and Technology – University of Stavanger, and thus improves the level of multidisciplinary research and collaborative projects.
